Featured Storytimes

Wednesday Preschool Storytimes

Wednesdays in September – November:
Join Baby Bear and Miss Kim for stories, songs, poems and more to nurture early literacy skills on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and again at 11:30 AM. 10:30 AM is the busier storytime. Consider coming at 11:30 AM if you prefer more space and fewer people. No registration is required.

Preschool Storytime is designed for preschool learners, ages 3 to 5, to help prepare them for school. Children will have fun while practicing important skills like group participation, self-regulation and alphabet knowledge.

For our youngest learners, Baby & Toddler Storytime may be a better fit as it is specifically geared to ages birth to 2 and their caregivers.

Location:
Storytimes are typically held in the Margaret Rivers Room on the upper level of the library. On Wednesday, November 13, Preschool Storytime will be moved to the magazine area on the lower level as we prepare for the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale in the Margaret Rivers Room.

December Break:
In December, we take a break from our regular storytimes as we prepare for our 2025 programs.

Second Saturday Storytimes

Second Saturday of Each Month:
Join Baby Bear and Miss Kim at 10:30 AM on the second Saturday of each month for stories, songs, poems and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills.  No registration is required.

Location:
Storytimes are typically held in the Margaret Rivers Room on the upper level of the library. On Saturday, November 9, storytime will be moved to the magazine area on the lower level as we prepare for the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale in the Margaret Rivers Room.

Baby & Toddler Storytimes

Thursdays in September – November:
On Thursdays at 10:30 AM, Miss Erin will present a storytime that includes books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Stay for developmentally appropriate playtime afterward! No registration is required.

Baby & Toddler Storytime is designed for ages 0-2. Through songs, rhymes, and readings from large picture books, Miss Erin creates a relaxed atmosphere and engages with children at their level. With a significant focus on empowering caregivers with ideas for songs, games, and repetition that can be enjoyed at home, storytime serves as a support and inspiration for the daily magical moments between caregivers and their little ones.

For children ages 3-5, consider attending Preschool Storytime on Wednesdays and the second Saturday of each month. Preschool Storytime is geared to helping prepare these young learners for school.

Location:
Storytimes are held in the Margaret Rivers Room on the upper level of the library.

Storytime Breaks:
Baby & Toddler Storytime won’t be held on November 14 & November 28.  For the full month of December, we take a break from our regular storytimes to prepare for 2025 programs.
