June 7 – August 9, 2025:
Set off on a summer of reading and exploration! Hit the trails of discovery, learning, and connection with our summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults.
Summer Explorers is made possible by donors to Stillwater Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library.
Summer Reading Programs
Youth Summer Reading Program
Read, write, and discover with Ranger Owliver and his team of owlie guides during our summer reading program for kids, a collaboration between Stillwater and Bayport public libraries.
Pick Up Your Trail Guide
Young adventurers can blaze new trails with our Summer Forest Explorers program. Starting June 7, stop by either Stillwater or Bayport library to register, choose a free book to keep, and collect your Trail Guide (with a tracker gameboard inside) to chart your journey through reading and hands-on learning activities.
Prefer an online option? Track reading and activities using the Beanstack app or at stillwaterbayportlibrary.beanstack.org.
Set Your Sights on Discovery
With Summer Forest Explorers, kids can set personal reading goals, take on challenges, and uncover a forest of fantastic stories. Go beyond the page by completing suggested explorations such as attending a library program, writing a nature-themed poem, creating a recipe from gathered ingredients, borrowing a Nature Backpack, or trying out a science experiment.
Become a Gold Star Reader! Return your completed tracker to the library – or show us your 10 Beanstack badges – to earn recognition as a Gold Star Reader. Celebrate your achievement on our summer reading stage: pose for a picture with your tracker, your gold star, or a favorite book from the trail.

Read & Win (Just for Adults)
Read books and enter into a drawing to win weekly prizes for local businesses. Here’s how:
- Beginning on June 7 through August 9, log any book that you’ve read by submitting a short review or rating of the book at the library.
- You can also participate online – download the Beanstack app or track online through the Beanstack website. Just click on “Log Reading” at the top left and log any book that you’ve read.
- Each week during summer reading, we’ll randomly draw from submitted entries to date win a gift card to a local business.
The more you participate by reading books and submitting reviews, the more chances you’ll have of winning one of the weekly prize drawings.
