The Stillwater Public Library partners with state organizations to digitize our collections and offer them nationwide. 

German Alien Registration

The German Alien Registration was conducted conducted during the first World War. Digitized copies are available through the Minnesota Digital Library.

Obituary Indexes

Volunteers have compiled a limited index of obituaries printed in local media. 

Cemetery Indexes

Volunteers visited most local cemeteries and created indexes to the graves they could identify.

Veterans

Volunteers created indexes of the burial sites of the veterans from the Civil War through WWII.

Oral Histories

Transcriptions of five different oral history projects from 1976-2012 are available to browse.

Yearbooks

Find the Kabekonian year book back to the year of its inception in 1916.

Scrapbooks

Scrapbooks cover subjects from the civil war to library history. Bessie Bernstein’s scrapbook of 1919 at Stillwater High School is available through the Minnesota Digital Library.

Vertical Files

Volunteers have clipped newspaper articles about many of the town’s most notable citizens and those clippings can be found in our vertical files.

Death Records

Microfilm index of original records of the Washington County Courthouse in Stillwater, Minnesota as well as two other indexes of subsequent periods up to 1940.

Indexes for Births and Marriages for selected dates from 1852-1981.
