December 2021 – January 2022:
The gallery at Stillwater Public Library will feature an exhibit of watercolors by painter Gayle Brunner Frandrup. Gayle ‘s love of fine art started at an early age. At 12, she was awarded first place in a Wisconsin state safety poster contest. From that point, she went on to enjoy art classes in high school and college, obtaining her Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Gayle enjoys many fine art media, but her emphasis is on the art of watercolor painting. Watercolor has been a challenge and a fascination because of the transparent quality, granting the opportunity to create something amazing and sometimes unexpected. Gayle has spent many years living in western Wisconsin, and the beauty of the area provides inspiration for her paintings.
The exhibit opens on November 30 and runs through January. It is viewable during library hours. Meet the artist at a reception on Sunday, January 9 from 2 to 4 PM in the gallery.
